* Note:
- Cups may be moved while attached.
- Use cream or oil as a lubricant to allow cupping of larger areas, or
to easily adjust the placement of the cup.
- When moving a cup, grip the cup low on the bowl, and use the fingers
of the non-pulling hand to gently hold the skin taut behind the cup as
it moves.
- During each cupping session, keep the room warm.
- It is normal for darkening to appear on the skin where cups are
applied. This will dissipate in a few days.
- Blisters may appear where the cup has been attached. When the
blistering is serious, routine sterilization is necessary. Prick the
blisters and apply disinfectant.
Add salt to the warm water, making it lightly salty
Wash cups & dry thoroughly. Make sure the
inside of the cup is completely dry before using.
You will need:
Massage Cupping Set
Bowl
Warm water
Salt
Paper towel / clean dry cloth
Note: make sure the inside of the
cup is clean, and the assembly is intact (valve & seal are
firmly fastened to cup) before performing cupping procedure.
After a massage cupping session it is common for the cupping areas to
turn a different color. That color will subside after a few days, but
sometimes people may get blisters after a session. Blisters are
serious, and require routine sterilization when necessary. How do you
treat them?
You will need:
Disinfectant solution
Cotton ball
Needle
Aloe
Sterilize the needle with disinfectant solution.
Use the needle to prick the blister
Apply disinfectant to the blister using a cotton ball
Optional:
Apply Aloe when necessary to assist in the healing process.
Note:
- When showering, clean affected areas gently.
- Any broken skin should also be disinfected using a clean cotton ball.
- Drink lots of water & moisturize to keep skin hydrated, and
for faster healing.
